The vibrating table carrying the anode mould and the vibrating table drive are mounted on a frame, which is hydraulically moved between the weighing position and the compacting position.
At the weighing position the anode mould receives the batch of anode paste from the hopper scale. At the compacting position the cover weight is lowered on the paste batch and the block is formed by vibrocompacting.
The pusher assembly mounted on the sliding frame pushes the moulded anode off the vibrating table onto a conveyor. While one anode is compacted at the compacting position, the batch for the next block is preweighed in the hopper scale.
