COURIER® 5 SL is a new generation air cooled on-stream elemental analyzer for 1 to 12 slurry samples. It is based on the same high performance wavelength dispersive XRF technology as used in the high performance laboratory and COURIER® 6 SL analyzers. Optional energy dispersive channels are available for light element analysis (for example Ca) and for applications requiring large number of elements to be analyzed from the same sample.
Sampling, analysis and sample return are fully automatic and do not require operator attendance. COURIER® 5 SL analyzer has an optional automatic window changer system that saves labour and extends the life of the X-ray tube. Slurry samples do not require any preparation before analysis. The analyzer is able to measure low concentrations from critical tailings streams.
Analysis results from COURIER® 5 SL are sent to plant process control system via a communication link using established protocols. The information is used for assay based process management, monitoring and control.
