The HSC Geo module utilizes an extensive mineral database with stoichiometric compositions and other data based on different literature sources. This database contains 3 581 minerals, and the user may easily add new minerals to this database.
HSC Geo is a program to make mineralogical and petrological calculations and store the results in a database for further analysis with HSC Data.
HSC Geo Summary:
- Prepares a database from the tabulated data- Performs petrological calculations for rock samples- Calculates the mineral composition of samples (modal composition) from the chemical analysis- Calculates the formula of minerals from the mineral analyses- Includes a mineral database with stoichiometric compositions and extensive data from literature
